Malaysian Affiliates Abroad registered higher turnover of RM335.2 billion in 2019
A total of 2,237 Malaysian affiliates abroad have generated turnover at RM335.2 billion in 2019, slightly increased by 0.9 per cent as compared to a year ago.
Services remained as the main contributing sector with a turnover of RM209.5 billion in 2019 (2018: RM207.3 billion), followed by Manufacturing and Mining & quarrying.
In 2019, Malaysian affiliates abroad employed 412,937 persons (2018: 408,807 persons) with paid compensation of employees at RM23.8 billion (2018: RM23.0 billion).
