The turnover of Malaysian affiliates abroad increased to RM334.1 billion in 2021
Malaysia registered 2,328 affiliates abroad, making RM334.1 billion turnover in 2021.
Services sector remained the dominant contributor for turnover in 2021, generating RM205.0 billion, followed by Manufacturing and Mining & quarrying sector.
Major countries contributed to the turnover were Indonesia (RM50.7 billion), the United Kingdom (RM37.3 billion) and Singapore (RM32.0 billion).
Malaysian affiliates abroad employed 412,295 persons with paid compensation of employees at RM24.0 billion.
