BOP’s Participation in International Programme - ASEAN Help ASEAN Framework

The Asean Help Asean Framework (AHAF) Programme was conducted virtually on 15th July 2021, organised by ASEAN Secretariat (ASEANstats) with the participation of members from selected ASEAN countries, namely Thailand, Indonesia and Cambodia. In 2019, ASEAN Community Statistical System Committee (ACSS) has recognised Malaysia as one of the countries for Technical Expert in the Statistics of International Trade in Services (SITS) and has requested Malaysia to share on practises in compiling manufacturing services data.

This programme aims to share the knowledge and experience related to matters that are more relevant to issues / challenges faced at the regional level. Five representatives from DOSM were Mr. Mohd Sawal, Mr. Zuradi Jusoh, Mrs. Aidawani, Mrs. Kumutha and Ms. Pameza. During the programme, DOSM shared a presentation on “Manufacturing Services in Compiling SITS”. This presentation covered topics on the methodology of compilation and issues & challenges.
